Over 500 agents attended The Travel Agent Next Door’s fall roadshows, which were held in 16 cities across Canada from Sept. 22 to Oct. 3, 2024.

The annual roadshows connect agent partners with TTAND executives and suppliers. This year, Founder and CEO Flemming Friisdahl was accompanied by Chief Operating Officer Jeff Element, who joined TTAND’s leadership team back in March, and Director of Marketing Christine Ufniak.

The fall 2024 roadshow made stops in Nova Scotia (Halifax), New Brunswick (Moncton), Quebec (Montreal), Ontario (Ottawa, Chatham, London, Oakville, Barrie, North Toronto, and Toronto), Manitoba (Winnipeg), Alberta (Calgary, Red Deer, and Edmonton), and B.C. (Vancouver and Victoria).

At the events, agent partners had a chance to learn more about the latest TTAND tech tools. Ufniak held a session on managing client databases, while Element held a session about Cybersecurity best practices. Attendees also got an update about the upcoming staff retreat in Dubai

“The Travel Agent Next Door has one of the strongest communities in the travel industry,” Element told TMR. “The TTAND community has been built on years of sharing, listening, and learning from one another. The 2024 roadshows were another opportunity to celebrate and build upon those already strong ties and to get together in person.”

Several suppliers also participated in the roadshows, showcasing their products to the agent partners. Participating suppliers this year included Norwegian Cruise Line, Insight Vacations, Playa Hotels & Resorts, Expedia TAAP, and Adventure Canada.
