by Jessica Montevago /After struggling to attract worried travelers following a terror attack in 2015, France has seen a rebound in tourism.
French hotel occupancy rates have risen three percent year-over-year, to 68.2 percent in 2017, to its highest level since 2008, according to hotel research firm MKG Consulting. Occupancy rates in the Paris region rose by six points year-over-year.
Anticipating a positive trend for 2018, the French government expects foreign visitor numbers nationwide to rise to 89 million in 2017 from 83 million last year. France targets 100 million visitors annually by 2020.
