Globus Announces Private Touring in Europe

by Jessica Montevago  April 17, 2018
Globus Announces Private Touring in Europe

The Globus family of brands says family travel is bigger than ever.

Globus is launching a European Private Touring program designed for smaller parties of travelers, the Littleton, Colorado-based company announced on Monday.

Offering first-class, escorted vacations, Globus has traditionally operated tours with as many as 44 travelers, and an average group size of 36 people. The new private tours provide a more intimate experience, ranging from two to 24 people, and complete with a dedicated tour director, private transportation and local guides. Every Private Tour includes all of the visits and entrances as outlined in the original published tour itineraries.

“The biggest opportunity for agents is with friends and family groups,” Steve Born, vice president of marketing for the Globus family of brands, told Travel Market Report. “A Globus Private Tour is a great way to give those groups that perfect balance of logistics support with the personalized delivery of catering to their particular group. For all agents who have those group prospects, reaching out proactively now to suggest a private tour could translate to a nice incremental revenue opportunity along with a great experience for their clients.”

This year, any Globus European itinerary can be converted to a Globus Private Touring experience, once an itinerary is chosen and the traveling party’s numbers have been confirmed.
“Every private tour includes all of the visits and VIP sightseeing available on a regular Globus Europe itinerary with the added benefit of a truly private experience; perfect for friends and family groups,” said Scott Nisbet, president and CEO of the Globus family of brands.

Prices vary depending on the per person cost of the published tour itinerary and the number of travelers taking the trip. An additional premium, based on the overall number of travelers, is simply charged for each traveler on top of the published tour price.
