Intrepid Travel is launching a Commission Fast-Track offer for the month of August.

Travel advisors will receive $200 CAD/USD in upfront commissions at time of booking, with the rest of paid out at time of departure.

The offer applies to new bookings, including the use of future travel credits, made between Aug. 1 and Aug. 31, 2020 for trips departing between Jan. 1, 2021 and Dec. 31, 2022.

It’s valid on Intrepid trips, as well as on tours through its sister company Peregrine Adventures, that have a minimum booking value of $2,000 CAD/USD – excluding Tailor-Made trips, Australia trips, and 18-29s trips.

“We know this is a challenging time for the entire travel industry, particularly while there is still so much uncertainty around international border openings. We want to show our appreciation for our travel agent partners by offering partial commission upfront to help make this time a little bit easier,” said Megan Bailey, sales director in North America for Intrepid Travel.

The $200 CAD/USD upfront commission will be paid to the agency via direct deposit within three weeks of the booking date, and the agency will receive the remainder of their commission at the time of trip departure.

A deposit of $400 CAD/USD is required at the time of booking, while a deposit of $600 CAD/USD is required at the time of booking for adventure cruising voyages and Peregrine Adventures tours. A deposit of $1,000 CAD/USD is required at the time of booking for all polar voyages and trips that include gorilla permits.

If the customer cancels their booking prior to 21 days to departure, Intrepid will recall the $200 upfront commission. If the cancellation is 20 days or less to departure and fees are applied, advisors are eligible for 50% commission and if 50% commission is below $200 CAD/USD, Intrepid will recall the difference. For cancellations 20 days or less to departure, and 100% credit is offered, Intrepid will recall the $200 upfront commission.

If Intrepid suspends customer’s departure and a refund is provided, $200 upfront commission will be recalled.
