National Geographic Family Journeys with G Adventures Open for Booking

National Geographic Family Journeys with G Adventures Open for Booking

There’s a whole world of G Adventures.

National Geographic Family Journey with G Adventures, 12 unique itineraries designed to let children and adults connect as a family, are now on sale for opening departures that start in March 2020.

The trips range in length from eight to 13 days, visit 12 different countries on five continents and are all led by two specially trained Chief Experience Officers who are trained to cater the trips to both the interest of the adults and the children.

Activities are all designed around four Nat Geo themes—photography and storytelling, history and culture, wildlife and conservation, and exploration—with family offerings that include wildlife spotting in Alaska’s national parks, pasta making and gladiator school in Italy, sumo wrestling lessons and samurai swordplay in Japan, and more.

“What really excites me about this new family travel style is how much learning, bonding, adventure and enjoyment is included, for every member of the family, at such an accessible price,” said G Adventures Managing Director for the U.S. and Latin America Ben Perlo.

The first set of itineraries include the nine-day Alaska Family Journey: Wilderness Explorer; the nine-day Costa Rica Family Journey; the eight-day Iceland Family Journey: Geysers, Glaciers, and Fjords; and the eight-day Italy Family Journey: Venice to Rome.

The program was created after research from National Geographic and G Adventures, which first joined forces in 2015 and now has a partnership that includes 89 trips in 53 countries, showed that a vast majority of travelers wanted to take part in activities that the whole family can enjoy together instead of those that allow for adult relaxation time.

Pricing starts at $1,999 per person with reduced pricing available to children 12-year-old and younger.
