Tauck to Require All Guests Be Vaccinated on Both Tours and Cruises

Tauck on Wednesday morning announced that it will now require all guests 12-years and older to show proof of being fully vaccinated in order to depart on their cruise or tour.

The new requirement applies to all of Tauck’s tours and cruises worldwide. According to Tauck Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations Jeremy Palmer, the requirement allows Tauck to operate safely and seamlessly, as many of the departures include excursions to places with a vaccine requirement in place.

“We’re seeing a steady increase in restaurants, museums, and attractions requiring proof of vaccination,” said Palmer, “to the point where unvaccinated travelers won’t be able to fully participate in their Tauck journeys. It’s become clear that a universal vaccination requirement is the best way to ensure our guests enjoy all of the incredible experiences we build into our tours and cruises.”

Guests who are unable to meet the requirement can change their booking to a Tauck trip further out into 2022 without penalties.

Tauck, which paused all operations in March 2020 before welcoming guests back in January 2021, has resumed tours and cruises all over the world and Palmer said that close to 97% of guests have already been vaccinated.

Other tour operators, including companies under TTC, have also mandated vaccines for their guests. G Adventures, the Canadian adventure tour operator, is offering both vaccine-only and non-vaccinated tours in 2021.
