ToursByLocals Appoints Former Expedia and Disney Exec as CEO

ToursByLocals, an online marketplace providing access to locally-guided private tours, has appointed Lisa Chen as its new CEO and president, following co-founder and immediate-past CEO Paul Melhus’ transition into the role of executive chairman of the board. She has been with the company as president since February 2023.
Chen brings more than 25 years of experience to the position, having previously spent time at both Expedia and Disney.
“With the business firing on all cylinders, a brand that is deeply beloved by our customers, and our team as a driving force, we’re set to solidify ToursByLocals, as a global leader in private customized tours…,” Chen said.
