Are Travelers Ready for Holographic Concierges? The Beverly Wilshire Thinks So.
by Dori Saltzman /Welcome to the future of hotel services. The Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel is boldly stepping into the future with the addition of holographic concierges for its Penthouse and Presidential Suite guests.
“We are elated to provide our guests with yet another way to communicate with us,” said Serge Sturbois, director of guest experience for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “Based on the guest preference, we can communicate in person, through the Four Seasons Chat, text, a call, and now by beaming via hologram into their room.”
Using a device called the “M,” a tabletop holographic communications device from Los Angeles-based Proto, the hotel will be able to “beam” its guest experiences team directly into guests’ suites. Guests will first designate a time in which a Guest Experience team member will “live beam” into the room. At that point, both the Beverly Wilshire staff and guests will be able to see each other and communicate in real time.
