A New Four Seasons Is Coming to Tamarindo, Mexico Later This Year

A New Four Seasons Is Coming to Tamarindo, Mexico Later This Year

The Four Seasons will open its newest Mexico resort on the country’s Pacific Coast, The Four Seasons Resort Tamarindo, in late 2022, and bookings are now open.

The resort sits between La Manzanilla and Barra de Navidad, about a 35-minute drive from the Manzanillo-Costalegre International Airport in the Mexican state of Colima. It is being built on a private peninsula in Jalisco, surrounded by more than 3,000 acres of jungle, making it one of the most remote and undiscovered Four Seasons properties.

When it opens, it will offer 157 rooms including cliffside one-bedroom suites with infinity pools, nature rooms steps from the beach and adjacent to the resort’s golf course, beachfront rooms with baths overlooking the ocean, and a villa that sleeps up to 12 adults and includes a complete kitchen and wrap-around infinity pool.

On-site, the resort offers four food and drink outlets including Coyul, a restaurant designed by Mexican chef Elena Reygadas that offers dining all day; Sal, an eatery steps from the beach that will open in 2023; and Nacho, a laid-back taqueria. Guests will also be able to enjoy in-room dining and private dining.

With its location, the resort is also able to do something that a lot of luxury resorts aren’t able to, and that invites guests into the Discovery Centre, where a team of on-site biologists can walk guests through the surrounding area’s biodiversity, including the more than 70 endemic species of wildlife that call the Reserve’s more than 3,000 acres home.

Elsewhere onsite, the resort will offer The Spa, with some local flavor including a temazcal ceremony, a fitness center, three pools outside of those connected to personal accommodations, three beaches, and an 18-hole golf course.
