MSC Cruises’ World America Will Feature Largest Kids Club
by Dori Saltzman /When MSC Cruises’ next World-Class ship debuts next spring it will feature the largest Doremiland kid’s club in the MSC Cruises fleet, spanning some 10,000 square feet across seven different spaces. Highlighting the vast array of children’s activities will be the first LEGO-themed parade at sea and a LEGO family game show.
“We set ourselves the goal to create the most exceptional kids and family offering at sea with MSC World America,” said Steve Leatham, head of entertainment for MSC Cruises. “Our aim is to give our younger guests the freedom to express their creativity, play, socialize, and explore with amazing spaces and programs that have to be seen to be believed.”
All-new (or enhanced) spaces and activities for kids and their families will include:
Largest-ever Doremiland: Spanning more than 10,000 square feet, MSC World America’s Doremiland will offer seven rooms dedicated to different age groups from 0 to 17 years old. The club will be open all day long, from 9 a.m. until midnight, for the duration of each voyage. Baby services are offered in collaboration with Chicco (a global baby brand).
LEGO Parade: The parade, which will feature LEGO characters, will march through the ship from Family Adventura to the World Promenade once per cruise.
LEGO Family Zone: A brand-new kids’ club area for “master builders and bricks enthusiasts” where parents and their children will be able to play together.
LEGO Game Show: Once per cruise, families will have the opportunity to come together for a team challenge in which parents and children compete as Master Builders. The competition will feature timed challenges and “unexpected twists.”
Boxes Family Game Show: A family competition in which each mystery box contains a blind challenge to beat in order to win prizes.
Doremix Family Disco: A dance competition in which parents and children will dance together to hit music and original MSC Cruises songs, vying for the title of best dancers of the night.
Star Shooters: An adventure course located in the Sportplex created specifically for teenagers in which participants must hit targets and rack up points to win.
The Harbour: At the heart of the Family Aventura district will be this outdoor park where families can come together to engage in activities – like a ropes course and the previously-announced Cliffhanger, enjoy family-friendly food, and soak up the sun.
