Canada’s Porter Airlines is expanding its network with three new routes out of Ottawa International Airport.

Porter officially launched the three new routes to Boston, New York-Newark, and Thunder Bay on Monday, all part of a broader expansion of the carrier’s Ottawa network. With the expansion, Porter will become the only airline flying year-round direct flights to Boston and Thunder Bay from Ottawa.

Porter will fly all three of the new routes on a 78-seat De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft.

“This builds on our already extensive network in Eastern Canada and substantially increases the number of destinations served directly from Ottawa. Porter connects passengers coast-to-coast, with the level of service and generosity that economy travelers deserve,” Kevin Jackson, executive vice president, and chief commercial officer, of Porter Airlines, said.

With the additions, Porter now flies eight non-stop routes from Ottawa. It is scheduled to add its ninth on May 17 with the new Charlottetown service.
