The New Peninsula London to Open in September

Peninsula London, the newest hotel from the Peninsula Hotel Company, is set to open on Sept. 12, 2023. Bookings are now open.

The hotel is newly built where Hyde Park Corner meets Wellington Arch in the city’s Belgravia neighborhood, giving guests easy access to Buckingham Palace, The Royal Parks, The Palace of Westminster, and Harrods, all of which are less than a 15-minute walk away.

Along with 25 residences, the hotel offers 190 “understated” guest rooms ranging from 549 sq. ft. to 635 sq. ft. each with mahogany-paneled dressing rooms and customized fittings crafted by British artisans. Many of the rooms also feature floor-to-ceiling windows, offering guests views over Wellington Arch and the surrounding neighborhood.

The hotel’s food and drink offerings are led by Brooklands. This rooftop restaurant offers “Modern British cuisine” from Michelin-starred chef Claude Bosi that includes a libation-tasting lounge and cigar storage room. There’s also Canton Blue and Little Blue, a Chinese restaurant and adjacent bar; The Lobby, which serves traditional Peninsula Afternoon Tea; and The Peninsula Boutique and Cafe, a casual eatery. 

There’s also a separate spa and wellness center, including its own 25-meter indoor pool, that guests can reserve using their digital wellness portal.

The Peninsula Hotels company currently operates hotels in Asia, North America, and Europe, including The Peninsula Hotel, one of its most iconic properties, located on the corner of Fifth Ave and 55th Street, which goes back to 1905. Aside from the London property, Peninsula is also opening an Istanbul hotel in 2023.
