Luxury Hotel Company Peninsula Hotels to Debut in Istanbul Next Year

The Peninsula Istanbul Set Along The Bosphorus Waterfront

On Monday, bookings opened for the debut property from The Peninsula Hotels company in Istanbul, a new luxury hotel set to open on Feb. 14, 2023.

The hotel spans four buildings along the city’s Bosphorus Waterfront, including three that are protected historical landmarks dating back to the early 1900s.

In total, the hotel offers 177 rooms starting at the 430-square-foot standard room to a 5,490-square-foot Peninsula Suite that includes its own hammam, gym, and rooftop swimming pool. Many of the rooms include large windows, balconies, private terraces, or direct access to its gardens, giving guests sweeping views of the surrounding city.

For food and drink, the hotel offers a number of bars and restaurants, with the highlight being a rooftop restaurant and bar that will offer a menu of Turk-Asian cuisine. Separately, the hotel will offer a main dining room and The Lobby restaurant that will feature the signature Peninsula Afternoon Tea.

Another signature Peninsula offering—the Peninsula Spa and Wellness Centre—is also included onsite, with traditional Turkish steam rooms, a 25-meter indoor swimming pool, and eight private treatment rooms, along with a separate fitness center.

The hotel is also a destination for meetings and special events, with an 820-guest ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,300 for standing cocktails, a VIP private dining room, wine-tasting areas, and other alfresco spaces.

“Istanbul is a dynamic multicultural city with thousands of years of history and culture, combined with a youthful and vibrant energy. We have spent a lot of time and effort to meticulously restore this beautiful property on the Bosphorus and we look forward to welcoming locals and visitors alike to experience our world-renowned Peninsula hospitality,” said Clement Kwok, Managing Director and CEO of The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited, owner and operator of The Peninsula Hotels.
