Aman Cuts Steel on Luxury Motor Yacht
by Dori Saltzman /Construction is underway for Aman’s first-ever luxury motor yacht, Amat at Sea. The hospitality company celebrated a traditional steel cutting ceremony at the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, Italy.
“The steel cutting signifies a key milestone in the development of Aman at Sea and my strategic evolution of the brand, as we continue to diversify our geographical portfolio on land and at sea,” said Chairman and CEO of Aman Group, Vlad Doronin.
At 600 feet long, the vessel will be the first dual fuel-powered newbuild, using marine diesel oil and methanol to run. It will offer 50 oversized suites, each with a private balcony, as well as an array of dining options. Other features include a relaxed club and lounge, spacious Aman Spa – complete with Japanese Garden, two helipads, plus an expansive Beach Club, which offers guests direct access to the water at the back of the yacht.
The keel laying, which signifies the true start of construction of the ship, is expected to take place this summer.
Aman at Sea is a joint venture with Cruise Saudi and is expected to debut in 2027.
