AmaWaterways is launching a partnership with Mandarin Oriental for brand new pre- and post-cruise offerings.

Starting in 2026, AmaWaterways’ river cruise passengers can book the Mandarin Oriental Luxury Pre- and Post-Cruise Experiences in select European cities, including Barcelona, Geneva, Zürich, Madrid, Paris, Prague, Vienna, and Amsterdam. In 2027, Budapest will be added as well.

“This partnership brings together two brands that share a passion for delivering authentic, personalized luxury,” said Catherine Powell, CEO of AmaWaterways. “These exclusive experiences align perfectly with our commitment to thoughtfully curated travel. Our guests will have the chance to enjoy the legendary elegance of Mandarin Oriental properties while further enhancing their journey with AmaWaterways, combining the highest standards of service and attention to detail both on land and on the river.”

As part of the program, guests will receive private drivers and guides, daily excursions, and door-to-door transfers between airport, hotel, and ship. The new pre- and post-cruise experiences include stays at Mandarin Oriental hotels along with land tours, especially culinary ones, such as a hands-on cooking demonstration followed by lunch at a local restaurant.

The partnership comes after AmaWaterways announced it is ordering eight more river cruise ships, all scheduled for delivery by 2030.
