AmaWaterways has unveiled a first look at AmaNubia, its new river ship debuting on the Nile River in November 2026.

Carrying 76 guests in 38 staterooms, including 15 spacious suites, AmaNubia has been thoughtfully designed to provide an intimate and luxurious home along the Nile. A half-sister to AmaLilia, the ship offers many of the same venues and amenities while featuring its own distinctive layout and design inspired by the artistry, textures, and colors found throughout ancient Egypt.

Guests will enjoy locally inspired cuisine featuring Middle Eastern flavors, a wellness area with spa services, a fitness center, and public spaces designed for relaxation between shore experiences.

Every sailing is accompanied by dedicated Egyptologists, who bring Egypt’s remarkable history to life through engaging lectures, expert insights and guided exploration throughout the journey.

“Egypt is unlike anywhere else,” said Catherine Powell, CEO of AmaWaterways. “The Nile is one of the most beautiful rivers on earth, and sailing down it feels like traveling through time, with one iconic site after another bringing a history we’re all familiar with to life before our eyes. We’re thrilled to see such strong renewed interest in Egypt, as travelers seek to experience its extraordinary history, vibrant culture and warm hospitality.”

AmaNubia will sail AmaWaterways’ popular “Secrets of Egypt & the Nile” itinerary, combining a Nile river cruise with hotel stays in Cairo.

The itinerary includes visits to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Horus at Edfu, Kom Ombo, and Aswan, as well as an exclusive private visit to the historic Abdeen Palace in Cairo.

As part of the experience, guests sailing aboard AmaNubia will enjoy a stay at the iconic Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence, while AmaLilia guests stay at The St. Regis Cairo and AmaDahlia guests experience The Ritz-Carlton, Cairo.

Guests may further personalize their journey with optional experiences, including a visit to the Abu Simbel temple and High Tea at the historic Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan. Optional land extensions in Alexandria, Dubai, and Jordan are also available.

“Egypt continues to be one of the most exciting destinations in our portfolio, and the response from both our guests and the travel advisors who have experienced our Nile cruises this year has been extraordinary,” said Powell. “With AmaNubia, we’re continuing to elevate the guest experience through beautifully designed ships, enriching experiences led by expert Egyptologists, and partnerships with some of Egypt’s most prestigious hotels, creating a seamless luxury journey from the moment guests arrive in Cairo to the end of their cruise.”

AmaNubia begins sailing in November 2026, joining AmaDahlia and AmaLilia as part of AmaWaterways’ growing Nile fleet, with AmaCleo set to join in fall 2027.
