Travel industry veteran Steve Spivak will join AmaWaterways as its new chief commercial officer, effective Sept. 30, 2026. In his new role, he will lead the company’s Sales, Global Service & Reservations, and Revenue Management teams. He will focus on helping AmaWaterways continue to grow its sales, supporting advisors and their clients, and strengthening trade partnerships.
The appointment was announced in a letter from CEO Catherine Powell to travel advisors and agency executives.
“Steve brings not only an incredible depth of experience, but a genuine appreciation for what makes our industry so special: people and relationships,” Powell wrote.
Spivak joins AmaWaterways from Tauck where he has spent the past 14 years, the last four of which he has served as vice president, global sales and customer experience. Prior to his time at Tauck, he held senior leadership roles at Loews Hotels and Starwood Hotels & Resorts
“Throughout his career, he has built strong, lasting relationships with travel advisors and partners. Steve understands the value of those relationships and how important it is for you to have a team and a company you can truly count on.”
