Royal Caribbean Moves Baltimore Operations to Norfolk

As cleanup efforts continue in the Baltimore Harbor after the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge earlier this week, Royal Caribbean is temporarily moving its Baltimore operations to Norfolk, Virginia.
Vision of the Seas, which left from the port of Baltimore on March 23, will return to Norfolk on Thursday, April 4. Guests will be provided with compensation and complimentary shuttle transportation, as well as Wi-Fi and phone calls to adjust their travel arrangements.
Additionally, Vision’s upcoming April 4 and April 12 cruises, which were scheduled to sail from Baltimore, will instead depart from Norfolk. Booked guests will receive compensation “due to the necessary adjustments made to their vacations.”
After returning from the April 12 cruise, Vision of the Seas heads to The Bahamas for its previously scheduled maintenance.
The city’s Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed into the Patapsco River on Tuesday morning, after one of the bridge’s supports was hit by a container ship. Tragically, six workers who were on the bridge at the time of the collapse are presumed dead.
