Carnival Cruise Line's New Grand Bahama Cruise Port Will Be "Celebration Key"
by Dori Saltzman /Carnival Cruise Line's new Grand Bahama Cruise port, scheduled to open in July 2025, will be called "Celebration Key." It will be the first port destination designed exclusively for Carnival Cruise Line guests.
"We are working very closely with the Government of The Bahamas and the Grand Bahama Port Authority to ensure that we are highlighting the best of Grand Bahama and its culture, combined with fun like only Carnival can provide," said Carnival Cruise Line president Christine Duffy.
Celebration Key will offer a "uniquely Bahamian experience," including Bahamian-operate retail, food, and beverage options, the cruise line said, along with a one-mile stretch of white-sand beach. It will have its own pier capable of accommodating up to two of Carnival's Excel-class ships simultaneously.
Carnival plans to announce further details of the destination in September, along with opening for sale the first itineraries on at least 10 ships from multiple homeports that will include a visit to Celebration Key.
