A New Way to Dream in Greece

March 18, 2024
A New Way to Dream in Greece

For many, visiting Greece is an amorphous, fuzzy dream. They have vague ideas of cerulean roofs, white walls, burgundy bougainvillea, protected coves, and sapphire seas. They picture ruins on ancient sites, hilltops where oracles connected to the heavens, and Mediterranean dining with vineyard views.

But depending on where they go in Greece, some or none of this can be accurate.

Each different part of Greece has its own signature characteristics. You have the whitewashed homes of the Cyclades, the historic mainland cities like Athens, the mythology of central Greece … and the beauty of the rugged islands and luxury of the resort-dotted shores of Corfu in the Ionian Sea. And precisely for the latter is why this island is where luxury travelers should set their sights next.

Introducing: Unlimited-Luxury® in Greece
All-inclusive hotels and resorts have become par for the course in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. However, they’re still rare in Europe. While many hotels may serve extravagant full breakfasts and some offer half-board, the very first Dreams® Resort & Spa (a participating property in the Inclusive Collection, part of Hyatt Hotels & Resorts) in Greece is also one of the few that offer a full all-inclusive experience.

And with that said, Dreams® Corfu Resort & Spa actually goes above and beyond even that encompassing category to introduce the Unlimited-Luxury® concept that’s proven so popular in the Western hemisphere. Included in that are three meals and snacks daily, unlimited access to beverages, concierge service, a daily replenished minibar, pool and beach wait service, and unlimited access to daytime activities and live evening entertainment. It also means access to 24-hour room service and an exceptional on-site spa, both at additional cost.

Eat the Grecian Way – Amazingly
At this magnificent seafront property, four à la carte restaurants sit ready to tantalize taste buds with flavors influenced from a wide range of cultures but ingredients that draw from what’s local. For example, while there is a casual Italian restaurant on site, La Trattoria, serving pasta and pizza, and World Café International Buffet with cuisine from all the world over, you can expect Grecian herbs, olive oils, and produce for a special touch. Oceana, the seafood restaurant, sources catches from just offshore as well as American favorites from farther away, such as salmon and farmed shrimp. Seaside Grill does the same, alongside grilled meats.

For those who want a bigger taste of their locale, there’s Yiayia, the on-site Greek restaurant that serves traditional grilled dishes, local recipes, and innovative menu additions based on Corfiot delights and alternative desserts.

To wash it all down, five bars scattered across the property – and one right in the pool – mix international spirits and cocktails, while the Coco Café offers premium coffee, pastries, and snacks until late evening. Preferred Club guests have another option for all-day snacks and drinks – the Preferred Club Lounge, exclusively for guests of that category.

Defining the Preferred Club
Booking Preferred Club accommodations means taking Unlimited-Luxury® to the next level. At Dreams® Corfu Resort & Spa, that translates to upgraded amenities, the best room locations in the resort, elevated concierge service, exclusive access to the Preferred Club lounge and designated areas in the resort, and more for the entire family.

Location
Finally, and perhaps most important, is the access to the best of Corfu this luxury resort’s privileged location provides. Set just five minutes from the beautiful fishing village of Gouvia, it’s also near attractions like the Old Fortress of Corfu and its lighthouse, Spianada Square in Corfu Town – the second-largest square in all of Europe, and only a few minutes car ride away – and Achilleion Palace, built in 1890. Views of Mouse Island and the church of Panagia Vlaherna are accessible from nearby hilltops, and beaches like Paleokastritsa, Glyfada, and Agio Gordios Beach offer guests their choice of clearwater vistas.

Dreams® Corfu Resort & Spa really is the perfect Greek destination. Book it now with ALG Vacations®.
