Princess Cruises revealed its fleet deployments through April 2023. Included are two additional U.S. homeports – San Diego and Galveston – and the resumption of Australian cruising.

Starting in December 2022 and after an absence of six years, Princess will return to Texas cruising with Galveston-based sailings onboard Ruby Princess. The Galveston season will run through April 2023 and include a range of five- to 11-day itineraries calling mainly on destinations in the Western Caribbean.  The ship will also offer two 16-day Panama Canal sailings that transit between Galveston and San Francisco.

From September 2022 through February 2023, Princess will resume sailing out of San Diego with a series of brand-new itineraries onboard Diamond Princess. The ship, which has been based out of Asia for the past several years, will now offer five- to 16-day itineraries calling at ports along the Mexican Riviera, California coast and Hawaiian Islands. The ship will also sail a one-time-only 20-day cruise to Central America, roundtrip from San Diego in November.

“Returning a ship to San Diego gives more options for our west coast guests and Galveston makes a Princess cruises easily accessible to millions of Texans,” said Princess Cruises’ president John Padgett.

Princess will round out its West Coast fleet with Royal Princess, which repositions from Alaska to San Francisco in September for Hawaii, Mexico and California coastal cruises.

San Diego cruises go on sale March 24, 2022. Galveston-based itineraries open for sale April 2. And, San Francisco sailings open April 7.

Return to Australia
Princess Cruises will return to Australia cruising in June with three- to 12-day itineraries onboard Coral Princess. The cruises will sail roundtrip from Brisbane and call on ports in Queensland and New South Wales. In August, Coral Princess will reposition to Sydney and depart on a brand-new 12-day voyage visiting Queensland and the Conflict Islands in Papua New Guinea, before resuming its previously announced Australia & New Zealand program.

Additionally, Majestic Princess will sail roundtrip from Sydney on a new Queensland itinerary in February 2023.

Australia cruises go on sale March 23, 2022.

Cancellations
As a result of the above deployments, published itineraries through April 2023 on Diamond Princess and Royal Princess to Japan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific, as well as two Ruby Princess Panama Canal sailings in February 2023 will be cancelled. Also cancelled are select voyages on Majestic Princess in Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific from February 2023 to May 2023. Travel advisors with affected cruises will be notified.
