Cunard Separates Sales Team from Princess Cruises
by Daniel McCarthy /For the first time in nearly two decades, Cunard and Princess will have two separate sales staff.
According to the announcement, the decision was made because of both brands’ growth, particularly Cunard’s goal of doubling its North American business over the coming years. Cunard expects to announce full details of the move and its future operations sometime later this year, but did reveal some of what the change means.
The move adds a number of new positions to the Cunard team, a new West Coast BDM, a new East Coast BDM, and a Strategic Account Business Development Manager who will oversee the U.S. east, west, north, and south territories for Cunard. All of those new positions will operate under Jamie Paiko, the Vice President of Cunard North America Sales.
Cunard is also designating three team members to support its travel advisors partners and sales team in Darlene Howell, Krissy Thao, and Justin Wade, who will all report to Ruth Fernandez.
“It has been gratifying to share our sales force with Princess Cruises, who powerfully supported our iconic Cunard brand over the last 19 years. Together our teams have generated strong results by leveraging our talent and best practices. Bringing that strong foundation forward, I am so excited for Cunard to embark on this new chapter, further distinguishing ourselves in the luxury cruise space,” said Paiko.
