Intrepid Travel Launches Turkey and Syria Earthquake Appeal

Intrepid Travel on Tuesday launched an appeal to support immediate aid for the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
Intrepid, which has a long history with Turkey and currently operates 30 tours with 25 local team members in the country, will match all donations to the Turkiye and Syria Earthquake Appeal up to $100,000 AU and will donate all profits made on bookings to Turkey through April 30.
“This earthquake has devastated communities across southeastern Türkiye and Syria. Most of us can only imagine the trauma of this scale of disaster but through supporting this appeal, we can help communities that need it the most by providing basic emergency first aid and items such as blankets and tents to help house families during the middle of winter,” said Biheng Zhang, General Manager of the Intrepid Foundation.

The death toll from the earthquakes on Monday is already over 11,000 and is expected to rise further. Rescue efforts are underway in both Turkey and Syria.
