Air Canada Vacations (ACV) announced today that Lucy Sabella, the vice president of operations, will retire from the company effective Aug. 1, 2025.

Sabella has enjoyed a 39-year career at ACV. The Quebec-based exec worked her way up from customer service agent, to director, to vice president. During her career, Sabella’s leadership helped modernize the company’s systems, improve customer service, and strengthen industry partnerships, the company said in a release.

Sabella has been in the vice president of operations role since 2013.

“Lucy’s impact on Air Canada Vacations is immeasurable. Her leadership, integrity, and
deep commitment to both our people and our partners will leave a lasting legacy,” said
Nino Montagnese, vice president, Air Canada Vacations. “She’s been a driving force
behind our evolution and a steady, inspiring presence through decades of change. On
behalf of the entire organization, I want to thank Lucy for 39 incredible years and wish
her all the best in this exciting new chapter.”

Air Canada Vacations also announced that Sylvia Costa—another longtime ACV leader—has been named senior director, operations. She steps into the new role on Aug. 1, 2025.

Costa joined ACV in 2004. She has led several key departments in recent years, including director, customer experience from 2014 to 2022 and interim head of operations from 2019 to 2020.

“With her proven track record and strong commitment to teamwork and outstanding
service, Sylvia is perfectly positioned to lead our Operations team” said Nino Montagnese,
vice president, Air Canada Vacations. “We are confident she will play a key role in driving
continued success for Air Canada Vacations.”
