Fresh off its merger with Hawaiian Airlines, Alaska Airlines is expanding its West Coast service, adding seven new city pairs this fall.
The additions include three new flights from Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) in Los Angeles to Eugene (EUG), Redmond/Bend (RDM), and Pasco (PSC). Alaska will also add a nonstop between Boise (BOI) and Ontario (ONT) in Southern California; a seasonal route between Palm Springs (PSP) and Santa Rosa (STS); and another between Spokane (GEG) and Orange County (SNA).
The last is Alaska’s 45th nonstop from San Diego (SAN), this one to Sun Valley (SUN) in the Sawtooth Mountains of central Idaho, a ski destination.
All the additions will be offered daily, except for the Palm Springs-Santa Rosa route, which will be offered five times weekly, and the San Diego-Sun Valley route, which will be offered three times weekly. Those two routes will also be the only ones offered seasonally; all others will be offered year-round.
Alaska will fly the new routes on Embraer 175 aircraft, which offers 76 seats in a two-by-two setting with no middle seats.
