It is only Week 4 in the NFL, but American Airlines is already prepping for next February’s Super Bowl at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
American is adding flights from eight cities—Charlotte (CLT), Chicago (ORD), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), New York (JFK), Philadelphia (PHL), and Phoenix (PHX)—to San Jose (SJC) between Feb. 5 and Feb. 10, 2026. San Jose is a 10-minute drive from the stadium, far closer than the area’s other major airport, San Francisco International (SFO).
The additions will boost American’s service into San Jose by more than 450% over those six days. The airline says it will fly larger jets on those routes, including its Airbus A321T from JFK. It also expects to add more flights from the cities whose teams make it to the Super Bowl.
“The season is just getting started, and American is locking in our game plan to get fans to the Big Game,” said Jason Reisinger, American’s managing director of Global Network Planning. “There’s no better way to see the action than live in the stadium, and American has consistently kept fans in mind this season with our largest-ever fall football schedule, and now with added flights for the season’s final matchup.”
