Delta Air Lines’ longtime vice president of sales for the eastern U.S., Chuck Imhof, will retire from the airline at the end of March.
Imhof started at Delta in 2009, leading the New York sales team, and has been a staple of the carrier’s sales division ever since. He spent nearly a decade as head of eastern U.S. sales for Delta. His career highlights include establishing the New York sales support desk, and helping Delta become the major force in the New York area that it is today.
Before Delta, Imhof spent more than two decades at American Airlines, including time as regional vice president.
“I’m proud to have spent my career in an industry that connects people, cultures, and communities across the globe. Aviation is more than transportation—it’s about creating opportunities and bringing the world closer together,” Imhof wrote in a social media post.
Delta has not yet appointed a replacement for Imhof.
