Delta Air Lines is moving its seasonal New York (JFK) to Edinburgh (EDI) service to a year-round operation, adding three-times-weekly flights between the two cities in January and February.
While Delta will continue to fly daily service during the busy summer months, this expansion ensures that the airline now offers consistent, year-round connectivity between the two capitals for the first time.
The news comes as American Airlines prepares to introduce its own Edinburgh (EDI) to New York (JFK) service in 2026 using its brand-new Airbus A321XLR aircraft. It also follows the continued service from United Airlines to Edinburgh from Newark (EWR), which had previously been the only direct connection between the greater New York City area and Scotland during the winter season.
Delta flies the service on its Boeing 767-300ER aircraft, which includes Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin.
