Just one week after announcing a major expansion in Austin, Delta Air Lines announced another expansion, this time in Boston.
The airline is adding two new nonstops from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS): one to Madrid (MAD) launching on May 16, and another to Nice (NCE) launching on May 17. The new routes, which were announced on Wednesday, will help Delta maintain its position as the leading global airline in Boston and bring its total number of European destinations from the city to 12 and up to 20 daily international flights.
Delta will fly both of those routes on its Airbus A330-900neo jets, which include a Delta One cabin.
At the same time, Delta is also expanding its service to Barcelona (BCN) and Milan (MXP). Daily flights to Barcelona will begin on May 7, and a four-times-weekly service to Milan starts on May 16. Both flights are launching earlier than last year to better align with seasonal demand and provide greater flexibility for travelers.
