After adding direct flights from Boston this summer, JetBlue is again expanding operations at Long Island’s MacArthur Airport (ISP).
The airline told local News 12 that it will soon increase its direct flights from Islip to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) from four times weekly to daily.
JetBlue originally added the flights last summer as part of an expansion at Islip that also included daily service to Orlando International Airport (MCO) and four-times-weekly service to Palm Beach International Airport (PBI).
JetBlue will fly the service on its Airbus A320 aircraft, which features 42 of its signature Even More Space premium seats.
Islip MacArthur, which is about 50 miles east of JFK International (JFK), has been growing after being funded with over $100 million in upgrades over the past eight years, including updates to its airfield and major terminal projects to boost passenger experience.
