Hawaiian Airlines and JetBlue Enter Expanded Codeshare Agreement

Hawaiian Airlines and JetBlue Enter Expanded Codeshare Agreement

Hawaiian Airlines and JetBlue this week announced a new, expanded codeshare agreement that will provide easier connections to Hawaii via Boston’s Logan Airport, beginning in April.

JetBlue travelers will be able to book Hawaiian Airlines flights from Boston and still earn JetBlue loyalty points, TrueBlue points, when they fly. Travelers from other cities — including Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Cleveland — will also be able to purchase Hawaiian flights through Boston and earn those same rewards.

The points can be redeemed for miles on either network.

According to Brent Overbeek, senior vice president for revenue management and network planning at Hawaiian Airlines, the new agreement pairs the largest airline flying out of Boston with Hawaii’s flag carrier.

“We are excited to bring the Hawaiian Islands closer to more travelers and welcome our JetBlue guests with our warm hospitality the moment they check in for our flight in Boston,” he said.

Hawaiian Airlines will fly to Hawaii from Boston five times per week, every day except Tuesday and Wednesday, starting on Apr. 4, 2019. Return flights will be offered every day except Wednesday and Thursday.

The route will debut as the longest scheduled route in the U.S. at 5,095 miles. Hawaiian Extra Comfort seats will be available, as will 18 of its first-class cabin seats that feature 180-degree beds.
