AmaWaterways’ 25th river cruise ship will set sail on the Nile River starting in September 2021, the river cruise line announced this week.

The ship, AmaDahlia, will sail with 68 guests in 34 staterooms (24 of which will feature balcony suites up to 430 square feet), a sun deck bar and swimming pool, fitness room, hair and nail salon, and two restaurants (AmaWaterways’ signature The Main Restaurant and The Chef’s Table) onboard.

“We are excited to be coming back to the legendary Nile and introducing a new river cruise experience in Egypt,” said Rudi Schreiner, president and co-founder of AmaWaterways. “Everything about this new ship and curated itinerary reflects AmaWaterways’ focus on delivering luxurious accommodations, delectable cuisine, and enriching experiences designed to engage with local communities and historic sites.”

AmaDahlia will operate seasonally from September through May, sailing the 11-night, cruise and land “Secrets of Egypt & Nile” itinerary from Luxor to Cairo and back. The program will include stops at iconic Egyptian landmarks including the Great Hypostyle Hall of Karnak, the Temple of Luxor, the Valley of the Kings and Queens, the Egyptian Museum, three Pyramids of Giza, and more.

AmaWaterways will offer a pre-cruise option of four nights in Jordan or three nights in Dubai and a post-program of four nights in Israel.
