Cunard Adding New Staterooms to Queen Mary 2
Cunard Line will add 15 solo cabins and 30 Britannia Club balcony rooms to the Queen Mary 2 during a renovation next June, the cruise line announced. The new cabins will echo back to the art deco design heritage of the original Queen Mary with softer colors and new geometric diamond carpet patterns. The ship will dry dock at the Blohm+Voss shipyard in Hamburg, Germany, during the renovations.
Nine of the new cabins will be on Deck 2 and six larger single staterooms will be built on Deck 3L.
Cunard also announced that guests booking Britannia Club rooms will enjoy new features like 24-hour room service, nightly turndown service, Penhaligons toiletries, terry robes and slippers, and satellite TV.
