First Look: Princess Cruises’ New Sky Suites on Sky Princess

Princess Cruises gave another sneak peek into its next new-build, Sky Princess, which is expected to come into service in October 2018.

The ship will feature Princess’ new Sky Suites, which sport 700-square foot balconies, the largest private balconies ever offered by Princess. The suites, located on the ship’s top deck, will offer its guests a private view of the screen during the line’s Movies Under the Stars program.

Sky Princess will offer two Sky Suites, and each one will be able accommodate up to five guests.

“Our two new Sky Suites reflect Princess Cruises’ continued commitment to offer new and expansive accommodations that meet the needs of our guests who wish to explore the world in ultimate comfort,” said Jan Swartz, president of Princess Cruises.

Aside from a host of features that Sky Princess will share with its sister ships, the ship will debut with a number of firsts, including an infinity-style Wakeview pool attached to a deck with a bar on its aft decks that will offer guests an unfettered view of the horizon from the back of the ship. There will also be two, new deep-tank, top-deck pools with two cantilevered Jacuzzis, and a Retreat pool.

The ship’s Sanctuary, the cruise line’s adult-only sun deck area, will offer twice as many private cabanas as Royal Princess, Regal Princess, and Majestic Princess.
