Ponant’s New Themed Sailings Include Food, History, Art Cruises
by Daniel McCarthyPolar expedition cruise line Ponant announced its schedule for 2019 themed cruises this week and it includes sailings focused on food, wine, history, music, and more.
The sailings include:
On May 14, 2019, Ponant will bring retired executive director of the United States Botanic Garden aboard for a sailing to the British Isles, Belgium, and Norway. The sailing will bring guests to Kew Gardens, Chelsea Physic Garden in London, and the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh.
On June 28, 2019, Ponant will sail its Sicilian Food and Wine Experience with NY Times travel and food writer Mary Taylor Simeti. The sailing will include stops in Palermo and the Greek Temples.
On August 23, 2019, Ponant will sail its “History, Art, and Arhiecture Along the North Sea,” sailing, led by general director of the municipal museum of Bruges Till-Holger Borchet. Guests will be get a chance to experience the Louisiana Museum, exhibits in Holland and Belgium, and the Groninger Museum.
