Can They Get a High Five? Virgin Atlantic Launches Loyalty Program
by Marsha Mowers
Virgin Atlantic has launched High Five, a new Flying Club loyalty initiative designed to recognize members who have chosen the airline across five different calendar years.
With flight activity backdated to January 1, 2021, eligible Flying Club members will have rewards automatically credited to their accounts. Members who qualify will receive 12,000 Virgin Points, while Red Tier members will also earn 10 per cent bonus points on all future Virgin Atlantic flights.
“Not everyone flies every month, but many of our customers come back to Virgin Atlantic year after year – and that commitment deserves to be rewarded. High Five is our way of recognizing that loyalty isn’t one-size-fits-all and giving something back to customers who make Virgin Atlantic their airline of choice over time,” said Anthony Woodman, Vice President, Flying Club & CRM, Virgin Atlantic.

For example, a return Saver Reward Seat between New York and London starts from 12,000 Virgin Points in Economy or 16,500 points in Premium. Members with household accounts can also pool multiple 12,000-point rewards earned within the same year. Virgin Points never expire and can be redeemed across Virgin Atlantic, Delta Air Lines, and other partners within the Virgin Red network.
Rewards are being credited automatically, and Flying Club members will soon be able to track their progress toward future High Five rewards directly in the Virgin Atlantic app.
High Five builds on recent Flying Club enhancements aimed at increasing value for frequent travellers, including reward flights counting toward status, non-expiring points, and unlimited availability of reward seats.
