Virgin Atlantic Makes it Easier for Canadians to Get to Phuket with LHR Flights

Virgin Atlantic Makes it Easier for Canadians to Get to Phuket with LHR Flights

A Virgin Atlantic tail.

Virgin Atlantic is launching three-times weekly seasonal flights to Phuket next year. The new service will be the only direct route between London Heathrow and Thailand’s largest island.

The airline says its network expansion to Thailand creates greater connectivity for Canadian customers looking to extend their travels from London to the tropical beaches in Southeast Asia.

The three times a week service will operate seasonally beginning October 18, 2026. Customers can book flights from November 26, 2025.

Beyond its famed beaches, Phuket boasts a rich culinary scene and cultural attractions ranging from the majestic Golden Buddha at Wat Khao Rang to the twisting streets of old Phuket town, offering a mix of sun, culture and adventure.

Virgin Atlantic has a partnership with Bangkok Airways as well as land and sea transfers that permit easy connectivity for those travellers looking to explore beyond Phuket with options to Bangkok, Koh Samui, Krabi and beyond.

Juha Jarvinen, Chief Commercial Officer, Virgin Atlantic, commented: “We’re thrilled to introduce our new direct service to Phuket, giving our customers a flavor of one of Southeast Asia’s most captivating destinations. We can’t wait for our customers to experience our trademark hospitality on their next unforgettable journey exploring Thailand’s unique heritage, natural beauty and delicious cuisine.

Flights will be operated using Boeing 787-9 aircraft with 31 Upper Class seats, 35 premium seats and 192 economy seats.
