Jocelyn Black Joins Aurora Expeditions

Jocelyn Black, Manager Communications and Content, Aurora Expeditions.

Jocelyn Black has been appointed as the Manager of Communications and Content for Aurora Expeditions. The former Head of Communications for Tourism Ireland will assume her new role effective immediately.

“I am thrilled to join Aurora Expeditions at such an exciting time  as we expand our brand in North America and have product launches on the horizon,” Black told Travel Market Report Wednesday.

“With my background promoting adventure travel and sustainability, both well aligned with my personal values and interests, I am so excited to bring these immersive travel experiences to a global audience.”

In her new role, Black will collaborate closely with Aurora Expeditions’ global marketing team to drive brand awareness and engagement as the company prepares to welcome its third purpose-built small ship in 2025.

Black brings more than a decade of experience in travel publicity and communications. She joins Aurora Expeditions following a successful tenure at Tourism Ireland, where she served as Senior Publicity and Communications Executive from 2015 to 2025. Prior to that, she worked on the agency side, supporting local travel and hospitality brands.

Aurora Expeditions has released its new Antarctica 2026-27 season, which will introduce several special edition expeditions catering to adventure enthusiasts, photographers, science and enrichment seekers and women travellers. The season features 27 unique voyages ranging from nine to 34 days, sailing aboard Aurora’s three state-of-the-art, purpose-built expedition vessels the Greg Mortimer, Sylvia Earle and the brand-new Douglas Mawson.
