Paul Gauguin Cruises will offer 12 voyages in 2027 featuring its Moana Explorer program, which offers complimentary “edutainment” experiences for kids.
Created in partnership with Te Mana o Te Moana, the South Pacific’s leading marine education and conservation foundation, the program engages the line’s young guests (ages 6 to 15) in hands-on, educational activities both onboard and ashore.
Activities vary by itinerary but might include guided snorkeling; crafts, such as the chance for kids to make natural jewelry and design their own Polynesian tattoo; water experiments; treasure hunts; stargazing; pool games; and board games that introduce them to life underwater.
“Travel opens so many doors for children to learn, expand their minds, and nurture their creativity,” said Susan Robison, vice president of marketing and communications for PONANT EXPLORATIONS GROUP Americas. “We’re honored to partner with Te mana o te moana for a seventh consecutive year—reaffirming our commitment to help preserve the natural wonders and cultures of French Polynesia while also inspiring the minds of our next generation’s environmental leaders in fun, interactive ways.”
The Moana Explorer Program is available on the following summer and holiday voyages in 2027:
7-Night Tahiti & the Society Islands: June 19, June 26, Aug. 14, and Aug. 21
7-Night More Society Islands & Tahiti: July 17
10-Night More Tuamotus & Society Islands: June 9, Aug. 4, Dec. 29
11-Night Society Islands & Tuamotus: July 24
11-Night Cook Islands & Society Islands: Dec. 18
14-Night Marquesas, Tuamotus & Society Islands: July 3, Aug. 28
Cruisers will also find the Moana Explorer Program on select, remaining 2025 voyages, as well as on 11 departures scheduled throughout 2026. There is no fee for the program, which is part of the line’s all-inclusive cruise fares. Kids 17 years old and younger sail free when traveling in the same suite or stateroom as their parents.
Travelers who book any of the 2026 voyages by Nov. 15, 2025, will receive a $1,000 shipboard credit. Advisors will also receive up to a $500 gift card for each newly deposited booking of the 2026 sailings.
