Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas to Debut in Galveston 2027

Royal Caribbean’s record-breaking Icon of the Seas will make its Galveston debut in August 2027, marking the first time the ship sails from Texas. The milestone voyage headlines the cruise line’s new 2027–28 deployment, which features nine ships offering 4- to 12-night itineraries across the Caribbean, Mexico, and North America from homeports in Texas, California, and the U.S. Northeast.
The itineraries feature 131 destinations across 42 countries, with highlights including the new Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in The Bahamas (opening December 2025) and Royal Beach Club Cozumel (launching in 2026).
The highly anticipated vacations are now available to book on the Royal Caribbean website for Crown & Anchor Society loyalty members ahead of the official opening starting November 13.
The new itineraries feature:
From Texas
- Icon of the Seas will make its Galveston debut in August 2027, offering 6- to 8-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries including Perfect Day at CocoCay, Roatán and Cozumel.
- Liberty of the Seas, newly amplified, will sail 4- to 8-night Caribbean getaways featuring Costa Maya and Roatán.
- Symphony of the Seas will homeport in Texas for the first time, with 4- to 8-night itineraries to The Bahamas, Cozumel and Costa Maya.
From California
- Ovation of the Seas will sail short 3- and 4-night getaways to Ensenada and Catalina Island, featuring new venues like the Pesky Parrot tiki bar and Sound Cellar.
- Navigator of the Seas returns for 7-night Mexican Riviera voyages, visiting Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán and Puerto Vallarta.
From the Northeast
- Oasis of the Seas will offer 7-night getaways to Perfect Day at CocoCay and Nassau from Cape Liberty.
- Odyssey of the Seas will embark on 7- to 12-night Caribbean sailings, visiting Barbados, St. Lucia and St. Kitts & Nevis.
- Independence of the Seas will feature 4- to 9-night escapes to Bermuda, Canada, New England and the Eastern Caribbean.
- Vision of the Seas, from Baltimore, will offer 5- to 9-night itineraries to Bimini, Bermuda and Atlantic Canada.
