Silversea has unveiled its 2028-29 Voyage Collection, introducing 103 sailings to 219 destinations in 56 countries, including 29 new ports of call.

Running from September 2028 through May 2029, the “Let the World Surprise You” collection includes voyages timed around major cultural events such as Carnival in Venice and Rio de Janeiro, New Year’s Eve celebrations in Funchal and Sydney, and Japan’s cherry blossom season.

The luxury cruise line is also introducing new S.A.L.T. Culinary Voyages focused on Europe’s wine and truffle season and the markets and street food of Southeast Asia.

General sales open Oct. 8, following a preview for Venetian Society members that began Oct. 6.

Two ships in the Mediterranean

Silversea will deploy Silver Nova and Silver Dawn in the Mediterranean for 17 voyages between October 2028 and March 2029.

Together, the ships will visit 53 destinations in 12 countries, with new calls at Brindisi and Imperia.

Overnight stays are planned in Cadiz, Funchal, Fusina (Venice), Genoa, Istanbul, Livorno, Naples and Valletta.

Aboard Silver Dawn, overnight calls in Venice will give guests the opportunity to experience Carnival after dark, including an evening event inspired by Casanova.

Another sailing will position the ship in Funchal for Madeira’s New Year’s Eve fireworks before continuing to Casablanca and Tangier.

Silver Dawn will also operate three sailings featuring Alexandria, with an excursion to the Great Pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum, as well as two additional voyages calling at Istanbul.

New S.A.L.T. Culinary Voyages

Food will play a larger role in the new collection with the expansion of Silversea’s S.A.L.T. Culinary Voyages.

Three Wine & Truffle sailings aboard Silver Dawn will operate across Italy and Spain from October through December.

The itineraries will trace truffle regions from Livorno, the gateway to Tuscany, to Palamos near Catalonia’s truffle country. Programming will include truffle-hunting excursions, vineyard tours, onboard tastings and chef-led experiences.

Silversea is also adding four Asian Markets voyages aboard Silver Muse between Singapore and Hong Kong. Guests will be able to join local food experts and chefs for market tours, hawker stall visits and other street-food experiences.

Caribbean season includes Canouan experience

Silver Ray, Silver Nova, Silver Spirit and Silver Shadow will operate 38 Caribbean and Central America voyages between November 2028 and March 2029.

The ships will visit 34 destinations in 21 countries, including a new call at La Romana in the Dominican Republic. Round-trip departures will be available from Miami, Fort Lauderdale and San Juan.

Silversea is also introducing a special Destination Experience in Canouan, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The private beach day will begin with a Carnival-style welcome featuring local dancers and a steel band, followed by a beachside gathering with food, drinks and live music.

Silver Ray and Silver Spirit will also operate eight- to 12-day round-trip Miami voyages featuring St. Barts alongside destinations including Antigua, Anguilla and St. Kitts.

Silver Nova to circle South America

One of the collection’s longest voyages will be Grand South America 2029 aboard Silver Nova.

The 75-night round-trip voyage departs Fort Lauderdale on Jan. 13, 2029, and returns March 29.

The itinerary will circumnavigate South America and include a Panama Canal transit, scenic cruising along the Antarctic Peninsula and overnight stays in Manaus, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Callao (Lima) and Cartagena.

Three special events are planned during the voyage.

Guests will attend a sunset reception in Gustavia, St. Barts, followed by dinner and live music; experience Rio Carnival from a reserved area at the Sambadrome with preferred seating and dedicated hospitality service; and attend a private rooftop event overlooking the bay in Cartagena.

New Year’s Eve in Sydney

Silver Moon will spend the season in Australia and New Zealand, operating 10 voyages between October 2028 and March 2029.

The ship will visit 42 destinations across three countries, including new calls at Batemans Bay and Phillip Island, as well as scenic cruising through Dusky Sound.

The program also introduces new combination voyages in New Zealand, including a round-trip Melbourne itinerary, along with new routes connecting Australia and Indonesia.

Silver Moon will spend New Year’s Eve overnight in Sydney.

Eight new Asian ports

Across Asia, Silver Moon and Silver Muse will operate 26 voyages between September 2028 and May 2029, visiting 62 destinations across 11 countries.

Eight new ports are being added: Yeosu, Hitachinaka, Miyako-jima, Vigan, Muara, Sihanoukville, Makassar and Maizuru (Kyoto).

Kobe and Bali will also become new turnaround ports, giving guests additional opportunities to combine itineraries.

Select voyages will coincide with Japan’s cherry blossom season and Lunar New Year celebrations in Hong Kong.

General sales for Silversea’s 2028-29 Voyage Collection open Oct. 8, 2026.
