Teldar’s AI tool is designed to save advisor time
B2B hotel booking platform Teldar Travel, a subsidiary of the Accor Group, has launched a new Artificial Intelligence feature that it says speeds up the creation of personalized trips while strengthening the advisory role of travel advisors.
Named Aidy, the new tool available on teldartravel.com promises to open the door to new uses around personalization, advice, and value creation for travel advisors.
Aidy is designed as a copilot, a virtual colleague that supports travel advisors in creating trips, while leaving them full control over final decisions.
The advisor enters the key elements of the project, such as the desired destination, length of stay, number of travellers and preferred accommodation type, as well as the client’s expectations in terms of experiences and travel styles.
Aidy then generates tailored itinerary proposals combining accommodations and activities, taking into account the preferences and constraints expressed by clients. Teldar offers travel advisors access to an inventory of two million accommodations worldwide, as well as transfers and activities.
“Integrating Artificial Intelligence at Teldar Travel is done step by step, with a strong focus on listening and pragmatism. Our goal is not to add AI for the sake of AI, but to focus on features that truly address travel advisors’ needs,” said Matthieu Chevrier, Chief Digital Officer, Teldar Travel by Gekko Group.
“We chose to start with simple, concrete use cases designed to save time and make trip creation easier, while leaving full control in the hands of agents. This is a first building block, which we will continue to develop based on feedback from the field,” Chevrier added.
Aidy is designed to address a key day-to-day challenge for travel advisors: reducing the time spent on the design phase, so they can focus on client relationships and finalizing projects.
Aidy explores, structures, suggests, and accelerates, while the travel advisor analyzes, adjusts, refines, and advises.
