by Catherine Maisonneuve
The Los Cabos VIP Summit 2025, organized by the Los Cabos tourism board, was launched with great fanfare at an official ceremony November 16 at the Grand Velas Los Cabos, arguably the most luxurious hotel in this destination renowned for its impressive luxury tourism. We were there.
The VIP Summit, held this year from November 15 to 19, has been the most important event in Los Cabos for almost 20 years. For five days, 350 industry professionals from 20 countries are invited to various events, conferences, hotel visits, and happenings in the destination’s finest establishments to network, learn, and above all, appreciate everything that luxury tourism in Los Cabos has to offer visitors.

“Stimulating connections between businesses and consolidating Los Cabos as a strategic point for global tourism has been the main objective of the VIP Summit since its first edition. This allows us to open up new opportunities for all sectors related to the development and investment of the destination,” said Rodrigo Esponda, General Manager of Los Cabos Tourism.
“This year, we achieved a record number of representatives from several countries, managing to increase the number of markets represented by 30% compared to the previous edition. This growth reflects the diversification and strength of Los Cabos’ tourism offering.”

Luxury tourism is booming
It’s true that when you think of “luxury tourism,” Los Cabos is one of the first destinations that comes to mind. Sandra de La Garza of Los Cabos Tourism reminded us that “absolutely every luxury hotel brand you know is located in Cabo. We have the highest concentration of luxury hotels of any destination. Rosewood, One&Only, Four Seasons, Montage, Park Hyatt, Ritz-Carlton, Nobu, Auberge Resorts — whatever your favourite luxury hotel brand, you’ll find it in Los Cabos. In 2026, we will also welcome a Soho House, an Aman, and a St. Regis. Our luxury offering just keeps getting better!”
The summit is being held for the second year at the Hacienda del Mar hotel, the event’s “headquarters,” where participants are accommodated and the main conferences and trade show take place . However, the official activities will take us to some of the destination’s finest hotels, including the Rosewood, Four Seasons, and Grand Velas. The event anticipates over 1,000 meetings between key business partners, travel advisors, tour operators, airlines, national and international hotel chains, and representatives from across the Los Cabos tourism ecosystem.
