Collette Makes Sustainability More Tangible with Personalized Tree-Planting Experience
by Bruce Parkinson
Planting trees draws down carbon.
Collette is expanding its sustainability efforts by introducing a new personalized experience for travellers through its partnership with Ecologi, a global climate action platform focused on reforestation and environmental impact.
The enhancement gives travellers a direct connection to the positive impact their journey helps create.
As part of the initiative, Collette plants one tree for every traveller who returns from tour. Travellers will now receive a personalized email following their journey, notifying them that a tree has been planted in their honour.
The email includes a link to a dedicated Ecologi page where travellers can view their individual tree tile, featuring their first name, last initial, and the tour they experienced.
The new experience builds on Collette’s ongoing commitment to responsible tourism by making environmental stewardship more tangible and meaningful for travellers.
“Travel has the power to create meaningful connections, not only with the destinations we visit, but with the world around us,” said Collette president Jaclyn Leibl-Cote.
“This initiative gives travellers a personal way to see the impact of their journey long after they’ve returned home. It’s a simple but meaningful reminder that exploring the world and caring for it can go hand in hand.”
Through its partnership with Ecologi, Collette supports global reforestation efforts that help restore ecosystems, support biodiversity, and contribute to long-term environmental health as part of its commitment to responsible tourism.
The new traveller-facing experience allows guests to engage more directly in those efforts and better understand the role they play in supporting positive environmental outcomes.
