Intrepid Travel will not introduce additional surcharges on existing or new bookings this year, the company said in a statement released Thursday (April 30).
The global adventure travel company says they have taken a clear position: during 2026, the price confirmed at booking is the price customers can expect to pay.
“Travel should feel exciting, not uncertain,” says Christian Wolters, President of Canada at Intrepid Travel. “We know confidence matters when booking a trip, and that starts with clarity on price. Our focus is on delivering incredible, locally led experiences without unexpected add-ons or last-minute increases.”
The move is designed to make it easier for travellers to commit to their next adventure. “At its core, this is about doing right by our customers,” adds Leigh Barnes, Intrepid’s head of the Americas. “We believe in being upfront, standing by our pricing, and giving travelers the confidence to book their next adventure.”
Intrepid’s booking conditions and flexible bookings terms are designed to be clear, customer-first, flexible, and transparent. These include low deposits, a clear cancellation structure, and clear and flexible payment timelines. Specific terms, deposits, and cancellation conditions vary by region and trip type.
*This commitment applies to Intrepid’s tour and flight-inclusive packages only and excludes Polar trips and Tailor-Made arrangements. International flights are not included in most Intrepid trips and, where travellers book flights independently or through third‑party providers, airfare pricing and any airline‑imposed charges remain subject to the airline’s own policies.
