ACTA’s Fiona Bowen Promoted to Senior Manager Membership

Fiona Bowen, Senior Manager Membership for ACTA.

The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies and Travel Advisors (ACTA) has announced the promotion of longtime staffer Fiona Bowen to Senior Manager Membership in recognition of her “outstanding contributions and more than 30 years of experience in the travel industry.”

“This promotion is well deserved,” said ACTA President Suzanne Acton Gervais. “Fiona plays a key role at ACTA and will now lead a small but powerful membership team, strengthening member engagement, supporting travel advisors across Canada, and advancing initiatives that help members grow and succeed.

Bowen’s career spans retail travel agencies and tour operations, with 24 years of dedicated service to ACTA. Throughout her tenure, she has been a steadfast advocate for Canada’s travel advisor community, bringing deep industry knowledge, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to member support and advocacy.

In her new role, Bowen continues to focus on empowering travel advisors to succeed and grow their businesses. Known for her collaborative approach and genuine passion for elevating the profession, she remains a trusted resource for ACTA members and a driving force behind initiatives that strengthen and advance the industry.

“I am honoured and grateful to continue my journey in an industry I love, working every day to elevate and promote travel advisors, “ said Bowen. “While we have faced many challenges over the years, our strength has always been our unity. Together, through ACTA, we continue to move forward with one strong voice.”
