ENERGIZED! Canadian Travel Advisors Flock to Events Across Canada

The massive crowd at the ACV Launch in Toronto.

Have Canadian travel advisors ever been this active and optimistic?

Three events this week alone mobilized advisors across the country to get out and network with suppliers and peers, share knowledge and best practices, and celebrate their successes.

It started with the 2nd-annual TMP Calgary, which was forced to move to a larger venue this year after the sold-out success of the inaugural event in 2024. Held Tuesday and Wednesday at the welcoming Grey Eagle Resort and Casino, TMP Calgary drew 400 advisors and supplier representatives, and cemented TMP’s status as Canada’s leading conference series for travel professionals.

“Travel Market Place and Travel Market Report Canada are going from strength to strength, and it’s fantastic to see the enthusiasm of advisors to constantly learn and grow,” said John Kirk, Executive Director and Editor-in Chief for Travel Market Report Canada.

TMP Calgary attracted nearly double the number of travel advisors in its second year.

TMR Canada took a big leap forward this year with the hiring of a dedicated Canadian editorial and sales team, and the launch of new websites for both English- and French-speaking Canadian travel advisors.

“This week also saw the opening of voting for the first-annual Canadian Travel Awards, set for November 13 at Hotel X Toronto,” Kirk added. “We are so grateful for the reception we’ve had from suppliers and advisors from coast to coast, and we can’t wait to host an event that we’re confident will quickly earn a reputation as the ‘Oscars’ of Canada travel.”

ACTA Hosts Sold-Out Western Canada Travel Industry Summit

The day after TMP Calgary wrapped, the ACTA Western Canada Travel Industry Summit in Richmond, BC drew a sold-out audience of 300 travel advisors and 75 exhibitors — making it the largest ACTA event in Western Canada to date.

“Last week’s Eastern Canada Travel Industry Summit in Toronto was an outstanding success, filled with energy, collaboration, learning and engagement that set the stage for an exciting season ahead,” said ACTA President Suzanne Acton-Gervais as she opened the event.

Following the Western Canada Summit, ACTA is heading to Montreal for the ACTA Quebec Canada Travel Industry Summit at the Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel on October 1.

Fresh off a flight from Calgary, Travel Market Report Canada landed at the Universal Event Space north of Toronto, where a huge crowd of advisors and suppliers gathered for the final event in the Air Canada Vacations Product Launch Roadshow. The series of launches kicked off in Halifax on September 3, before travelling to Edmonton, Vancouver and Montreal prior to the grand finale last night.

Elish Tait, National Accounts Manager said the tour operator – celebrating its 50th birthday this year – told Travel Market Report Canada that the ACV team has been blown away by the response to the 2025 product launches.

“We had 1,500 RSVPs for tonight. Incredible! And the energy and enthusiasm at every event across the country has been off the charts. I’m so happy to work with an amazing team in the best industry.”
