New Canadian Host Agency Enters the Marketplace

New Canadian Host Agency Enters the Marketplace

ONVIGO, a brand new host agency, officially entered the Canadian travel agency industry on March 6. The brainchild of Chippy Jegathesan, CEO of Voyzant, Inc. (a travel consolidator), ONVIGO was built on a vision of personalized support, inclusivity, and putting the travel advisor first in all things. It is open to new-to-industry advisors as well as those with many years of experience.

“At ONVIGO, we believe that there has never been a better time to join the travel industry,” said Shean Carmichael, the director of operations at ONVIGO. “We are passionate about supporting travel advisors every step of the way, whether they are just starting out or looking to take their business to the next level. Our personalized approach ensures that each agent receives the assistance they need to achieve their goals.”

Among the core offerings of ONVIGO are:

  • No fees. Advisors can access dedicated support, training, tools and technology, and a lucrative commission structure, all without paying a fee.
  • Invoicing done for you. At ONVIGO, the host takes care of managing the entire invoice process, so advisors can focus on client work.
  • Commission chasing. ONVIGO also takes care of chasing down late or missing commission payments, so advisors don’t have to worry about it.
  • Technology: According to ONVIGO, it is “dedicated to staying ahead of the curve” when it comes to the technological tools that it offers its members.
  • Personalized support: ONVIGO promises individual support to every independent travel advisor for guidance, training, and resources tailored to their specific business needs.
  • Inclusivity: According to ONVIGO, it “takes pride in fostering a welcoming and inclusive community that embraces diversity…” by prioritizing an atmosphere of respect and understanding.

In the announcement of its debut, ONVIGO stated it is “committed to playing an active role in the reemergence of the travel industry by empowering travel advisors with the tools and knowledge they need.”
