Central Holidays Launches 2017 Cuba Itineraries

by Anna Gleksman  March 23, 2016

Central Hotel has blocked hotel space in Cuba for its People-to-People programs through 2017 and rolled out several new itineraries.

Two itineraries focus on Jewish and African culture in Havana. L’Chaim Cuba includes visits to the Orthodox Adath Israel Synagogue, the only kosher butcher in Cuba, and children attending Hebrew classes. “Afro-Cubanismo” offers a live Afro-Cuba jazz show in Santiago de Cuba, home to some of Cuba’s most famous musicians, including several who participated in the Buena Vista Social Club.

The “City and the Sea” tour, meanwhile, offers a choir performance, a historian-led walking tour of Old Havana, a visit to the El Morro fortress, and a trip to Ernest Hemingway’s home.

The trips will run March through June, 2017.
