3Qs for Cruise Month: Adolfo Perez, Carnival Cruise Line

October 14, 2015

In honor of National Plan a Cruise Month, TMR is interviewing executives from across the travel industry. If you would like to be included email us editor@travelmarketreport.com.

Today’s interview is with Adolfo Perez, VP of Trade Sales & Marketing for Carnival Cruise Line.

What’s the biggest challenge/opportunity for the cruise industry going forward?
Finding first time cruisers continues to be the greatest opportunity from all of the research we’ve done. And we need travel agents to be the front line communicators to the millions of potential cruisers living in their communities. No one can reach this audience like travel agents – and we’re here to work with our partners on ways to do just that.

What are your plans for 2016?

We’re going to continually add new and exciting elements to our “Onboard With You” trade support platform. Travel agents can expect more enhancements from us designed to help them maximize their sales and marketing success with Carnival in 2016.

What do you wish travel agents better understood about working with you?
We want every partner out there to fully understand just how committed we are to supporting the work they do. Everyone at Carnival – from our CEO to the sales leadership team – values the travel agent relationship.
